Pastoral Leadership
Our Sunday morning worship leaders are a team of guest pastors each week. Pastoral counseling is available by calling the church office for an appointment.
Rev. Lara MacGregor leads our service the first Sunday of each month.
Lara has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) for almost 23 years. She has served churches in Virginia, Illinois, and Kansas. Lara now serves as full-time chaplain and volunteer coordinator for Community Care Hospice, based in McPherson. Lara has been married for seventeen years to her wonderful husband Kirk, professor of religion and philosophy at McPherson College. Lara and Kirk have lived in McPherson for ten years, with their twelve year-old son Dwiane.
Rev. Kemper Huber leads our service the second and third Sunday of each month.
After graduating from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Animal science, Kemper spent 25 years working in the family business. He operated a ranch, feedlot, and farm with an emphasis on feeding sheep. When they sold the business, Kemper attended Austin Theological Seminary where he earned his Master of Divinity with the strong sense of call to go into Interim ministry. Over the past 20 years Kemper has served 10 churches in 10 different Presbyteries. Kemper and his wife, Janet, have lived in 8 states, spending 3 years serving an international church in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Kemper says he has been blessed beyond measure and looks forward to the opportunity to worship with you!
